New Covenant Student Ministries
At NCSM, we are a community of middle school, high school, and college-age students who learn and serve together. Our aim is to create an environment where students can grow in their faith and community while learning, developing, and serving. With exceptional students and dedicated leaders, we invite you to join us and become a part of NCSM.
Meet Lacey & Austin.
Lacey and Austin are a husband-and-wife ministry team at New Covenant Mt. Pleasant. Lacey serves as the Youth Pastor and Hospitality Team leader, discipling students and young adults, and leading the Hospitality Team in welcoming visitors. She holds a B.A. in Psychology from Lee University and a M.A. in Clinical Counseling from The Citadel. During the weekdays, Lacey works as a Licensed Professional Counselor and enjoys being a wife and mother. Austin serves as the Worship Pastor, planning and leading worship services, and helping others grow as musicians and singers. He has a passion for leading others in worship and enjoys spending time with his family, playing and watching sports, fishing, and woodworking. Austin is also bi-vocational, working in construction during the weekdays.
As a volunteer youth leader for NCSM, you’ll play an important role in helping to shape the lives of middle school, high school, and college age students. You’ll be responsible for working with the youth pastor to create a safe and engaging environment where students can learn, develop, and serve while growing in their faith and community.
Your primary duties will include assisting with group activities, events, and mentoring students. You’ll also be responsible for teaching age-appropriate curriculum and activities that will help students grow in their faith and develop their leadership skills.
To be successful in this role, you should have excellent communication skills, as well as a passion for working with young people. Previous experience working with youth is desirable, but not required.
This is a volunteer role, but it offers a fulfilling opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people. If you’re looking to volunteer your time and talent to serve your community, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity as a volunteer youth leader for NCSM.
